The infrastructure building process generally includes a four phases: planning, building, configuring, and submission. Each phase may include numerous process steps. |
The Grid Gateway allows you to drag and drop design elements from a palette to a design area, where you can position, connect, and configure them to support your needs. After the design is submitted and approved, the provisioning and wiring to support your design takes place, and your approved design is implemented.
Follow these process steps to build an infrastructure:
Evaluate your infrastructure needs.
Plan the required topology to support your needs.
Build your infrastructure using elements from the palette, and then position and connect the elements as needed.
Configure each element as needed.
Save the infrastructure.
Submit the infrastructure to your Grid Operations for approval and provisioning.
Edit if necessary.
Note: An infrastructure larger than 15 servers requires the submission of a network layout diagram to your Grid Operations Group.
