Infrastructures are pre-validated before submission to Grid Operations to catch as many misconfigurations as possible. |
At this time, the following things are being checked:
Every node has been configured and the configuration makes sense
Every hardware node has the required wiring connections
Interfaces referenced in a firewall are connected to a subnet
The number of externally visible IP addresses does not exceed the agreed maximum
The number of service units the infrastructure is using is less than the agreed maximum (for Active infrastructures only)
The infrastructure contains all the hardware in its baseline definition (as applicable)
In the Active state, the infrastructure is validated before every save because saving the infrastructure commits the changes to the Grid Control Plane.
