To set up infrastructure monitoring, you first set up the conditions to monitor and then set up the alarms. |
Follow these steps to set up a Global Monitor:
Open the active infrastructure in the Gateway Monitor area.
From the option buttons at the left-hand side of the Monitor area, click the [Global Monitors] button. The Monitor Window appears. [Show me]
From the View drop-down menu at the top of the screen, select Monitors, and the Monitors view appears.
At the bottom of the screen, click the [Create New Monitor] button, and the Create: Global Monitor screen appears. [Show me]
From the Monitor drop-down list, select the monitor you want to set up as a global monitor.
The alarm name appears beside In Farm.
Set the Condition for each Variable State by clicking the field and then entering a number. [Show me]
In the Set Interval field, enter a number for how often the monitor should be sampled, and then select an increment of time from the drop-down list: Minutes, Seconds, or Hours.
In the Notes field, enter any notes or information about the monitor.
Click the [Apply] button to save the changes and continue making settings without exiting, or click [OK] to save the configuration settings and exit.
Follow these steps to delete a Global Monitor:
Open the infrastructure in the Monitor.
From the option buttons at the left-hand side of the screen, click [Global Monitors], and the Monitor Window appears. [Show me]
From the View drop-down menu at the top of the screen, select Monitors, and the Monitors view appears.
To the right of the Details
Area towards the bottom of the screen, click the [Delete]
button. [Show me]
The Global Monitor is deleted. The screen reloads and the monitor no
longer appears in the table at the top of the page.
