An infrastructure in the Active state is provisioned within the overall grid infrastructure and is running. |
While an infrastructure is in Active state:
It's live, powered-on, and allocated to a specific customer
You can set up an infrastructure's monitors and alarms
You can make changes to an Active infrastructure, so long as they're allowed by your contract. The Gateway will not allow changes to an infrastructure that exceed the bounds of the contract.
While the changed version is Pending, it's visible in the Editor until it's validated and becomes Active. The existing infrastructure remains live and unchanged in the Main Page and Monitor areas of the Gateway until that time.
To make changes that exceed the bounds of your infrastructure's existing contract, use the "save as" feature to save the infrastructure with a new name, and then submit it as a new infrastructure. It will go through the same process a new design goes through.
