Apply Disk Image Copy

A disk image copy, also known as a snapshot, can be applied to a new server or to an existing server at the time the server count is being changed.

To apply a disk image copy image (Windows 2000)

Follow these steps to apply a disk image copy:

  1. Open the infrastructure in the Gateway Editor.

  2. Add a new server or increase the server count of an existing server. If you add a new, separate server icon, set the boot image to the name of the snapshot image.
The server reboots with a copy of the disk image, and then automatically reconfigures and reboots again.

  3. After second reboot, the new server has the new SID, IP, and hostname; otherwise, the image is the same as the copy.

Note: You must configure the domain, if applicable, after the second reboot.
