Editing of an infrastructure is possible while it's in Design or Active state. The editing procedure varies depending on which lifecycle state the infrastructure is in. |
Follow these steps to edit an infrastructure in Design state:
On the Main
Page, select the infrastructure from the Infrastructure Chooser's Not Deployed view.
The infrastructure appears in the Infrastructure Display Area of the
Main Page.
Click the [Open] button in the Infrastructure Display Area, and the infrastructure opens in Editor.
Click [Editor] on the Navigation Bar, and the infrastructure opens in the Editor.
Make the changes to the infrastructure, including configuring any elements you've added. Any changes permissible under your SLA are possible while in Design state.
From the option buttons at the left-hand side of Editor, choose [File] and then [Save], or use [Save As] to save your changes as a new infrastructure. [Show me the buttons]
Note: The changes you've made to the infrastructure take affect immediately; however, the infrastructure remains in Design state.
Follow these steps to edit an infrastructure in Active state:
On the Main
Page, select the infrastructure from the Infrastructure Chooser's Deployed view.
The infrastructure appears in the Infrastructure Display Area of the
Main Page.
In the Infrastructure Display Area, click the [Open] button, and the infrastructure will open in Monitor.
Make the changes to the infrastructure, including configuring any elements you've added or changed.
From the drop-down menu at the left-hand side of Editor, choose [File] and then [Save], or use [Save As] to save your changes as a new infrastructure. [Show me the drop-down menu]
Note: The changes do not take affect immediately. Until they do, the Active infrastructure remains intact and unchanged, and viewable in the Monitor and on the Main Page.
