Standby state

Like the Pending lifecycle state, the Standby state is a transitory state, usually temporary, where an infrastructure has been moved from another state and is waiting to be moved again.

Unlike Pending, Standby is used for when you want to remove an infrastructure from service temporarily, wait for an event to occur, and then reactivate the infrastructure to full service.

Capabilities

An infrastructure in the Standby state is turned-off and de-provisioned from a hardware standpoint, but the associated storage is maintained by Grid Operations and the user can reconstruct the infrastructure close to the last Active state.
