Direct Attached Storage, or DAS - block-level storage presented as a SCSI target
Network Attached Storage, or NAS - file-level storage presented over Ethernet and sharable by many servers on a single subnet
Backup and Restore - a volume-level backup and restore service that covers both DAS and NAS
