User Passwords

At your initial account set up, your Grid Operations and Gateway Super User work together to give you log in accounts. For each account, you're given a basic user name and password.

To set up a user password

Grid Operations contacts you to coordinate the process for each account, and the following occurs:

  1. The Grid Operator gives you the log in information, and together, you set up an authentication script. This information is entered in your Gateway's Account User Management area.

  2. You're encouraged to change the password when you log in. The ownership for the account is transferred to you, and the Grid Operator  no longer has access.

  3. Select a unique password. [Tell me about password criteria]

  4. Record your password for future reference.

To change your user password

Follow these steps to update a user password:

  1. From the Main Page, click the [Account] link [Show me], and the Account screen appears. [Show me]

  2. Click the [Change Password] button on the right-hand side of the screen, and the Change User Password dialog box appears.

Forget your password?

If you forget your user password, follow these steps:

  2. Change the password when you log in, and then record your new password for future reference.
