The basic level of service offers production service without flex capability. This is suitable for mature or static infrastructures. |
The Basic Service features are:
Fixed infrastructure size
Lowest cost per unit of capacity
Basic Service users initially contract for a baseline infrastructure of their design and commit to retain the hardware deployed with the baseline for three months.
The following conditions apply to changes:
Hardware can be added to increase the baseline at any time, but the increase will trigger a new three-month commitment period. Topology and configuration can be altered at any time without triggering a new commitment period.
After a three-month commitment period expires, the baseline hardware may be lowered or removed, but the change triggers a new three-month commitment period for the remaining devices deployed.
Any increases to the baseline infrastructure size require Grid Operations approval.
